Steak and chicken marinade?

Can anyone suggest a simple and cheap fertilizer, but for a delicious steak and chicken? Nothing too exotic spices with many of these as roesemary so please ... I am loking for something that can handle things like soy sauce and oregano, etc., if you suggest barbecue sauces, or rub please tell me the brand name. or even spices, so I can buy online and please let me know how long to cook, I have a George Grill Foreman BBQ and not opened, thanks in advance
