George Foreman Grill question?

I have this Foreman Grill: http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.K122158.desc.George-Foreman-Next-Grilleration-Contact-Grill I just received as a gift for opening a few weeks ago. The amber is supposed to stay. I used to stay, or so I thought, but now shuts down at random? Thus which is fine for cooking when the light is off? This means that food is the kitchen? lol. And when the light is on, is it OK to cook?

I have the same grid. When connecting first yellow light, indicating that it is warming. After 8 minutes, the light turns off, which means that was properly heated. When it puts food on the grill cools, causing the light again. On and off as food cooks, which means that the grid is to maintain the temperature. This is nothing to worry about. Just do not put your food on the grill initially until the light goes out (as I said, after about 8 minutes). Hope this helps! Dave
