Preparation lightly "used for grilling" hot dog buns for a quick lunch?

I have some hot dog buns Costco-like theyre made for the grill, that good taste, but I'm using it on hot dogs prepared and I wonder what would be the best way to "break" that seems I could use a bit of steam or something, I wave? (I grilled, but just using leftover hot dog):)

Steam or microwave for a few seconds, 8 seconds at a time.
